Grand Reopening The Crossings Branch

The Lethbridge Public Library is thrilled to announce the grand reopening of the Crossings Branch following the renovation and expansion project. Community members are invited to join in the festivities on Monday, April 8 at 11 a.m. to see the transformation of this space.

The Crossings Branch has been undergoing this construction since March 2023 and as a result has grown by approximately 2,500 square feet and maximized the existing space. This renovation and expansion includes:
- Expanded children’s program area, including a custom-built play structure
- A dedicated teen space
- An Indigenous gathering space
- Additional public washrooms and staff workspaces
- New furniture and interactive features

The Grand Reopening afternoon will host an array of drop-in activities including button making, video game challenges, a scavenger hunt, indigenous rock painting and the Happiness Programme interactive projector with family friendly and inclusive games.

The Crossings Expansion & Enhancement Project was made possible by funding from the City of Lethbridge Capital Improvement Program, the City of Lethbridge Library Board, and through a generous donation from the Friends of Lethbridge Public Library.
