Rent a Room

The LPL Main and Crossings Branches both offer meeting room rentals for individuals and groups. A room description and details about available equipment are available below.

All rooms must be booked in 3 hour blocks (unfortunately our system does not pro-rate, so if you need the room for 4 hours you will be charged for 6 hours).

MAIN BRANCH

32’ x 41’. Maximum capacity: 60
Equipment included: BluRay, Projector, Screen, speakers, microphone(s), podium, HDMI inputs, white boards. Other equipment available by request.

Cost per 3 hour block:

  • Not-for-profit: $50
  • For profit: $100

42’ x 50’. Maximum capacity 180.

Equipment included: BluRay, Projector, Screen, speakers, microphone(s), podium, HDMI and VGA inputs, grand piano (upon request). Other equipment available by request.

Cost per 3 hour block:

  • Not-for-profit: $75
  • For profit: $160

 CROSSINGS BRANCH

22’ x 45’. Maximum capacity 60.

Equipment included: BluRay, Projector, Screen, speakers, HDMI inputs. Other equipment available by request.

Cost per 3 hour block:

  • Not-for-profit: $60
  • For profit: $120

16’ x 20’. Maximum capacity 8 students and 1 instructor.

Equipment included: 9 PCs/workstations (8 student/1 instructor), HDMI inputs. Other equipment available by request.

Cost per 3 hour block:

  • Not-for-profit: $40
  • For profit: $100

13’ x 16’. Maximum capacity 8.

Equipment included: Screen, VGA inputs. Other equipment available by request.

Cost per 3 hour block:

Individuals or small groups (up to 8) can book this room once per month for a three-hour period at no cost. Contact the Crossings Branch customer service desk at 403-320-4037 to book your time or ask at the Crossings Customer Service Desk for more details.

16’ x 16’. Maximum capacity 30.

Equipment included: Screen, VGA inputs. Other equipment available by request.

Meeting Room Use/Guidelines

Use of Library facilities are provided to all members of the public, and all rentals are subject to the rules for accessing Library facilities as outlined within the bylaws of the Lethbridge Public Library, Meeting Room Policy, LOP-LO1 Code of Conduct, and other applicable Library guidelines.

  • Meeting rooms are booked on a first come, first served basis, with Library business having priority.
  • Applications for meeting room use may be denied based on the availability of space, frequency of use, or intended use.
  • Bookings are made in 3-hour blocks and must include sufficient time for room set-up and clean-up.
  • Library staff is not responsible for items or materials brought into the Library by external groups and cannot store materials for meeting room users.
  • Use of meeting rooms by any individual, group or organization does not constitute an endorsement by the Library. The Library will not knowingly permit an individual, group or organization to use its facilities in contravention of the Criminal Code of Canada.
  • Activities held in meeting rooms that may interfere with the normal business of the Library will not be permitted.
  • The Facility Rental Terms and Conditions Agreement must be read, completed and signed and the booking paid in full prior to the booking.
  • All individuals/groups renting a room must provide proof of insurance or purchase insurance for their event.  For assistance, please use the instructions on How to fill out the Instant Risk Coverage.
  • All publicity and signage related to the use of the Library’s meeting rooms by an individual, group, or organization must be professional in appearance, and signage or publicity shall not give the impression that the event held in the said meeting room is a library or library-related or endorsed event.
  • Additional fees may apply for room bookings outside of Library operating hours, additional janitorial clean up required, damages or loss to library property.
  • Alcohol consumption within the Library is not permitted without prior permission of the Library.
